About the Author

When Perry Martin was a young boy, he had freckles and black curly hair. When the girls in his class would tell him he was cute, he would blush, the girls would giggle and the other boys in his class would become jealous and call him names.

By high school, his frame had grown to more than six feet in height and he was encouraged to try out for foot ball. He made the team and stuck with it for a year and a half, before finally deciding that an after-school job would pay better and not hurt so much. He quit the football team and was called names.

In his career performing root cause failure analysis on high-profile USAF "mishaps", when he determined that the root cause of the problem was design, the designers would call him names.

When he determined that the root cause of the problem was manufacturing flaws, the manufacturers would call him names. When he determined that the root cause of the problem was maintenance, the maintenance personnel would call him names. When he determined that a crack had been present during inspection cycles, and had not been found by inspectors, the inspectors would call him names.

Perry Martin's life prepared him well to become a thoroughbred racehorse breeder and owner!

His motto is: "If they are not calling you names, you probably missed something!"

Champion Racehorse "California Chrome" Inspires Newly Released Sports Biography

Thank you to everyone who came out to meet me in California. I had a lot of fun visiting with you and I even found 3 days to visit with my California-based horses. Truth is I was beat after the swing thru California then I contracted COVID. I cancelled the Triple Crown related book events in order to get my strength level back to normal.
